Obituary of Donald L. Cramer

Donald L. “Don” Cramer husband of 62 years to Joan Garrett Cramer passed away on November 6, 2018 at Niagara Hospice House. He was Born on December 09, 1934 in Murray, NY to the late Stanley and Louise Cramer. As a small child his family moved to Berwindale, PA. He joined the Navy in May of 1952 serving till 1955 discharged at the rank of YN3 and served aboard the USS Henley, USS Chauncey and the USS Sierra. Don joined the NY Army National Guard serving from 1975 to 1993 and discharged at the rank of Staff Sgt, he earned the Good Conduct Metal, National Defense Metal, State Military Commendation, the 1979 Humanitarian Service Metal, Armed Forces Reserve Metal, Army Achievement Metal and the 15 years State Faithful Service Metal. Don was employed at Harrison Radiator for 31 years as a tractor trailer driver retiring in 1994. He enjoyed gardening, mowing his lawn, hunting and country western music.

Surviving is his wife Joan, a daughter Pamela Eudy, North Carolina; a brother Kenneth Cramer, South Carolina; his sister’s Gloria Bakaysa, Jean Nelson both of Niagara Falls and Janet Kerin, Pennsylvania; 6 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Don is predeceased by his daughter Kim Kepp and a brother Darwin Cramer(Survived by Joan).

Friends and family may call on FRIDAY from 2-4 and 7-9 PM at the HARDISON FUNERAL HOMES INC. 3248 Ransomville Rd. Ransomville, NY 14131. Funeral services will be held on SATURDAY (November 10) at 2:00 PM in the Community Bible Church 4168 Church Rd. Lockport, NY with Rev. Brad Delp officiating. Burial to follow in North Ridge Cemetery with military honors.
