David Myers

David B. Myers, age 65 of Youngstown NY, died Sunday June 7, 2009 in Roswell Park Cancer Institute in Buffalo, after a long illness. David was born October 4, 1943 in Niagara Falls, NY, the son of the late Kenneth P. and Ruth (Schultz Myers) and was a lifelong resident of Youngstown. He was a 1961 graduate of Lewiston Porter High School and married Dolores (Finitz) Myers on July 6, 1963 at the First Presbyterian Church of Youngstown. David first worked for the Village of Youngstown as a Heavy Equipment Operator before becoming an assembly line worker at Bell Aerospace in the late 1960's. He returned to work for the Village of Youngstown Dept. of Public Works as an Assistant Superintendent for 10 years. David then retired from United Cerebral Palsy in Niagara Falls in 1993 where he was the Work Shop Supervisor. David was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Youngstown. He loved the outdoors, especially hunting, fishing and camping. He is survived by his wife, Dolores; a daughter, Denise (Terry) Burns of Niagara Falls, NY; his twin sons, Daniel (Tracey) Myers of Mooresville, NC and Donald Myers of Youngstown; his grandchildren, Kayla and Jessica Myers, Danielle and Stephanie Burns, and Dylan Myers; and two sisters, Norine (Richard) McKeon of Youngstown, and Paula (Paul) Duret of Crownsville, MD. Graveside Services and burial will be held on Thursday, June 11, at 11:00 am in North Ridge Cemetery, Church Rd., Town of Cambria, with the Rev. Charles Lamb officiating. There will be no prior visitation. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Roswell Park Cancer Institute, PO Box 631, Buffalo, NY 14240-9856.
