Obituary of Helen E. Moss
Helen E. Moss, age 95 formerly of Wilson Cambria Rd. in the Town of Cambria, died Sunday August 5, 2018 in the Elderwood at Lockport after a long illness.
Helen was born July 29, 1923 in Kingston, Ontario, Canada, the daughter of the late James Earl and Theresa (Collins) Fraser. She grew up in the LaSalle area of Niagara Falls and was a graduate of Niagara Falls High School. Helen was employed at Kimberly Clark in the early 1940's. She married Kenneth W. Moss on November 24, 1943 in a military ceremony with six other couples at Maxwell Field in Montgomery, Alabama, shortly before he was assigned overseas.
Helen was a member of the North Ridge United Methodist Church. She enjoyed quilting, knitting and sewing.
She is survived by two sons, Lawrence Moss of Troy, NY and Robert (Sharon) Moss of Strongsville, OH; two granddaughters, Karen (Travis) Rutherford and Debra (Allan) Potter; a grandson, Kevin R. Moss and five great grandchildren. She was predeceased by two brothers, Gerald N. and Claude A. Fraser.
Friends may call at HARDISON FUNERAL HOME, 3648 Ransomville Road, Ransomville on Friday from 4 - 7 pm. Funeral Services will be held Saturday, August 11, at 10:00 AM in the North Ridge United Methodist Church, 3930 North Ridge Rd., Lockport, with the Rev. Matthew Worley officiating. Burial will follow inNorth Ridge Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the National Kidney Foundation, 30 E 33rd St., NY, NY 10157, or to North Ridge United Methodist Church.
