Obituary of Leonard "Lenny" Owens Jr.

Leonard “Lenny” Owens Jr., 81 of Ransomville, died in Mt. St. Mary’s Hospital, Friday June 22 ,2018 after a lengthy illness.

Born in Scranton, PA on July 10, 1936 to the late Leonard and Ann (Walker) Owens Sr. A graduate of LaSalle High School in 1955, Lenny enlisted in the U.S Air Force and served his country until his honorable discharge in 1959. He was employed by the Carborundum Co. in Niagara Falls for over 40 years. He enjoyed the outdoors and spending time at his cottage as well as hunting and fishing but mostly spending time with his family and watching the Buffalo Bills and Sabres.

On July 10, 1965, Lenny married Rosemary S. Payne who passed away on June 7, 2006. He is survived by his children, William L. Owens; Tammy (Frank) Puhalovich; Wendy (Daryle) Martin and Eric J. (Martha) Owens. Grandchildren; William; Jake; Timmy; Ashton; Anthony; Ben; Billy(Bubba); Brandon; Blake; Lauren; Eric and Austin; great- grandson Hunter Lowman, Who he adores dearly. A brother; John “Jack” (Sally) Owens and a sister; Beverly (Bill) Sapp.

NO PRIOR VISITATION. A graveside service will be held Saturday July 7, 2018 at 10:00 AM at Niagara Falls Memorial Park, 5871 Military Rd. Lewiston with Rev. Robert Hoffman officiating.
