Obituary of Beverly J. Beebe
Beverly J. (Bernardowicz) Beebe, of Lewiston NY, entered into rest suddenly on April 24, 2018, at her winter home in Ocala, FL. She was born on July 9, 1942 in Erie, PA, the daughter of the late Stanley T. and Allison (Butcher) Bernadowicz. Beverly attended local schools and graduated from Madonna High School in Niagara Falls.
She formerly worked for BOCES for over 25 years as a teacher assistant. She was known as Ma Beebe to many of her students because she took better care of them than their own mother. She would help all of them in her classes, bring their clothes home to wash for them and give them money when they needed it and make sure that the students without a mother had food for the weekend. She baked a birthday cake every month for them because some of them never had a birthday cake at home. She loved the Christmas season and baked dozens of Christmas cookies for family, friends and school. Beverly had great devotion to Our Blessed Virgin and was a member of Our Lady of the Rosary Catholic Church, Niagara Falls, NY for over 30 years.
She is survived by her husband Brian R. Beebe whom she married in 1962, daughter Beth A. Baldwin, Palm Bay, FL and son Barry A. (Margaret) Beebe, Lewiston, NY, sister June A. Havelka, Pittsburgh, PA. She will be missed by her grandchildren, Michelle (Matthew) Harris, Joseph M. Justus, Ashley S. Beebe, Abigail L. Beebe, great grandchild Hailey Harris, Addison J. Harris. She was preceded in death by two sisters, Marsha Bernadowicz, August 1949 and Elizabeth (James) Kraws. Several nieces and nephews also survive her. She will also be missed by her pure black German Sheppard, Serena.
A special thanks goes out to her Hospice friend Mike Shaw and to Wendy Shaw and her family for all the years of special friendship and to the girls across the street, Carol and Kris.
Even though I died of a broken heart, I still want all of them to try and live as follows: "Laugh when you can. Apologize when you should and Let go of what you can't change. Kiss slowly, Forgive quickly. Play hard, Take chances, Give everything and Have no regrets. Life is too short to be anything but happy. So long."
