Kenneth L. Monahan, age 61 of Niagara Falls, NY, passed away Thursday April 12, 2018 in the Niagara Rehabilitation and Health Center in Niagara Falls, NY.

Ken was born May 10, 1956 in Niagara Falls, NY, and was soon adopted by the late Larry and Nellie Mae (Henry) Monahan.  He grew up in Ransomville and was a 1974 graduate of Wilson High School. Ken was employed by Union Carbide as well as several other companies. He loved the outdoors, music, gardening, and reading.

He is survived by his daughter, Sarah (Kevin) Nord of North Carolina: his sons, David and Ethan Monahan; a grandson, Jefferson; former in law’s, Norm Jones, Sr., Norm (Debbie) Jones, Jr., and Donna Jones (Tommy Phillips); former wife Debbi (Tom Schulze), and good friend, Howard Waite.

Ken wanted to thank all of his friends, both old and new, for sharing in his life. “It was one hell of a ride”. As requested by Ken, an open house will take place at 3046 Fitch Rd. Ransomville on Saturday, April 28, from 3 - 6 pm followed by a short service at 6:00 by Rev. Lanny Rule, Ken’s uncle. Please join us in celebrating our dad’s life. Memorials may be made to the Ransomville Free Library, P.O. Box 280, Ransomville, NY 14131.

The family thanks the caring 4th Floor staff at Niagara Rehab for their loving care. Arrangements have been entrusted to HARDISON FUNERAL HOME, 3648 Ransomville Road, Ransomville.
