Obituary of Bernadine V. Williams

Bernadine V. Williams, age 75 of Model City, NY, died Wednesday February 7, 2018 in Roswell Park Cancer Institute in Buffalo.
Bernadine was born April 16, 1942 in Niagara Falls, NY, the daughter of the late Arnold and Margaret (Roell) Wood and Frances (Hidde) Wood. She was a graduate of Wilson High School and on November 22, 1968 she married Timothy E. Williams who predeceased her on April 9, 2011. Bernadine was employed by Marine Midland for a number of years before taking time to raise her family. When she returned to work she was employed by Fairchild Manor Nursing Home and then at Top's Market in Lewiston.
Bernadine was a member and Deacon of the First Presbyterian Church of Youngstown. Previously she had been a member, Elder, and Deacon of the First Presbyterian Church of Lewiston for many years. She was a member of PEO Chapter AR, and of the Ladies Auxiliary of the American Legion John J. Welch Post # 381 in Niagara Falls. Bernadine also volunteered with Meals on Wheels. She always enjoyed her home and family, but especially loved being with her grandchildren.
She is survived by he daughters, Jennifer L. (Patrick) Dunn of Lewiston and Elizabeth M. (Ralph, Jr.) Grizanti of Wilson; her beloved grandchildren, Samantha (William Hall), Ralph Grizanti, III, Madison and Jack Timothy Dunn; a sister, Mary Wood of North Carolina; a brother, Frank Wood of Ohio; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a brother, David (Beverly) Wood of New Mexico.
Friends may call at HARDISON FUNERAL HOME, N. Fourth & Ridge Sts., Lewiston on Sunday from 2 - 6 pm. Funeral Services will be held Monday, February 12, at 11:00 AM in the First Presbyterian Church of Youngstown, 100 Church St., Youngstown, with the Rev. Dr. Rex Stewart officiating. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Heart & Soul Food Pantry, 939 Ontario Ave., Niagara Falls, NY, the Community Mission, 1570 Buffalo Ave., Niagara Falls, NY, or to Roswell Park Cancer Institute, PO Box 631, Buffalo, NY 14240-9856.
