Obituary of James B. Lampman

James Lampman, age 82 of Lewiston, son of the late Stafford and Mabel (Burtwell) Lampman, passed away Monday January 29, 2018 at home under the loving care of his wife, Jacqueline and Niagara Hospice. They fought the battle with cancer together fiercely for three years.

Jim (as he was known) worked as a research technician for both National Carbon Co. and Airco Spear Electronics from the mid 1950's to the mid 1970's. Jim and his wife owned and operated several restaurants including Jimmy's, the Wilson House, and Ridgeview Restaurant and Dairy Bar. He also worked as a Supervisor for the Maid of the Mist Corp.

Jim was a 60 year member of the Ransomville Masonic Lodge # 551 F&AM. He had a love for  motor homes, and traveled throughout the U.S. in their motor home for 20 years.

Jim is survived by his loving wife Jacqueline (Polewicz Wagner) Lampman; his daughters,Vicki (John) Gensler, Kim (Todd) Bassinger, and Jennifer Lutman; his sons, Steven (MJ) Lampman and Jim (Dee) Lampman, Jr.; his grandchildren, Janelle, Josh, Kelly, Erinne, Anna, Jeremy, Michael, Seth, and Rachel; five great grandchildren; and two sisters, Jean Kneeppel and Sharon Carpenter. He was predeceased by a son, Gregory Lampman and two brothers, Gordon and Fred Lampman.

Friends may call at HARDISON FUNERAL HOMES, N. Fourth & Ridge Streets, Lewiston on Thursday, February 1, from 3- 6 pm. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to a charity of one's choice.
