George J. Wolf Sr., age 78 of Ransomville, passed away peacefully on Monday August 28, 2017. George was born March 12, 1939 in Niagara Falls, NY, the son of the late Lewis and Genevieve (Buja) Wolf. He was self employed most of his life; owning and operating Wolf Septic Service along with a trucking and demolition business and was a scrap dealer in the Lockport area for many years. George enjoyed reading and was a history buff. He is survived by his former wife, Kathryn Brady of Florida; five sons, Karl Wolf of Florida, Eric (Leah) Wolf of Lewiston, Luke (Joelene) Wolf of Grand Island, NY, Brian Wolf of Amherst, NY, and Thornton Wolf of Seattle, WA; three daughters, Kelly (James) Bright of Niagara Falls, NY, Kathleen (Mark) Parker of Lewiston, and Kimberly (Kirk) Simpson of Wilson; three sisters, Diana Raybon and Maryann Band both of Lewiston, and Doris Mess of North Tonawanda; 18 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren; and his good friend Matt Foe. He was predeceased by a son, George J. Wolf, Jr. and a brother, Lewis Wolf, Jr. Friends may call at HARDISON FUNERAL HOME, 3648 Ransomville Road, Ransomville on Friday September 1, from 3 - 7 PM. Funeral Services and Burial will be private for the family. Memorials may be made to the Niagara County SPCA, 2100 Lockport Rd., Niagara Falls, NY 14304.
