Susan M. Casper, age 60 of Lewiston, died Saturday August 26, 2017 in Hospice Buffalo in Cheektowaga, after a lengthy illness.

 

Susan was born September 27, 1956 in Tonawanda, the daughter of the late Joseph and Christobel (Short) Reilly and was a 1974 graduate of Cardinal O'Hara High School. She married Lee T. Casper on June 26, 1983 and they moved to Lewiston in 1988. Susan was a Teacher's Aide, employed by the Lewiston-Porter Central Schools for 15 years, retiring in 2006.

 

She attended St. Peter RC Church in Lewiston. An animal lover, Susan enjoyed horseback riding and training dogs. She also enjoyed reading, gardening, the beach, and dining out. Most of all she loved spending time with her family.

 

In addition to her husband, Lee, she is survived by their children, Kevin and Joshua Casper, Jeanette Kestel, Jennifer (Luke) Lowe, Ashlea Gray, and Bethany (Dana) Varney; 16 beloved grandchildren; and two brothers, Jamie (Suyun) and Michael Reilly. She was predeceased by a brother, Paul (late Margaret) Reilly.

 

Friends may call at HARDISON FUNERAL HOME, N. Fourth & Ridge Streets, Lewiston on Thursday from 3 - 7 PM. Funeral services will begin at 7:00 PM in the funeral home, with the Rev. Patrick Bradley officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice Buffalo, 225 Como Park Blvd., Cheektowaga, NY 14227.
