It is with deep sorrow that we announce the peaceful passing of Rose A. Carberry on Monday, December 23, 2024, at the age of 92, surrounded by her loving family at home in Ransomville.

Rose was born on June 3, 1932, in Niagara Falls, New York, the youngest child of the late Elmer and Rose (née Lashier) Bowen. She graduated from Niagara Falls High School in 1950 and went on to earn her nursing degree from D'Youville University in 1954.

On July 20, 1957, Rose married the love of her life, Richard W. Carberry, at Sacred Heart Church in Niagara Falls, NY. They enjoyed a loving and devoted marriage for 54 years until Richard's passing on November 14, 2011. Rose was a longtime parishioner of Immaculate Conception Church and was actively involved with the Altar and Rosary societies.

Rose had a passion for ping pong and bowling, continuing to bowl until she was 85 years old. Her vibrant spirit and love for life were evident in everything she did. Rose's legacy of love, kindness, and dedication to her family and community will forever be remembered and cherished.

Besides her parents and husband, Rose was predeceased by her cherished grandson, Jack Carberry, and her siblings, Dorothy (late Jack) Dawson and Francis Bowen.

She is survived by her loving children, Anne (Michael) Priore, Brian Carberry, Lynn (Paul) Hoy, Paul Carberry, Glenn (Allison) Carberry, Thomas (Melissa Enberg) Carberry, and Theresa (Hansueli) Buehlmann; her 17 cherished grandchildren and one great-grandchild. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.

The family will be present on Sunday, December 29, 2024, from 3-6 PM at Hardison Funeral Homes, Inc., 3648 Ransomville Road, Ransomville, where Funeral Services will follow at 6 PM. A private interment will take place in North Ridge Cemetery, Town of Cambria.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Rose's memory to a charity of one's choice.
