Nancy E. Syruws

Nancy E. Syruws, age 85, of Ransomville, NY, passed away peacefully on Sunday, January 5, 2025, at Our Lady of Peace Nursing Home in Lewiston, NY. Born in Howesville, West Virginia, on July 11, 1939, she was the beloved daughter of the late Daniel and Thelma (nee Wright) Calvert.

Nancy met the love of her life, James "Jimmy" Syruws, and together they traveled to Niagara Falls, New York. They married on October 19, 1957, making their home in the Falls. Nancy was a dedicated clerk for AM&A's and Jenss for many years and was deeply devoted to her family. After retiring, she and Jimmy settled in Ransomville. Nancy will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.

In addition to her parents, Nancy was predeceased by her beloved husband, Jimmy, in 2022; her cherished granddaughter, Ashley; and her siblings Butch, Gary, and Kay. She is survived by her loving children, Sharon (Frank Scarfone) Nablo, Karen Pittman, and James (Janice) Syruws. Nancy is also survived by her cherished grandchildren, Christina, Nicole, Tiffani, Jason, and Danielle, as well as seven adored great-grandchildren and three dear great-great-grandchildren. She leaves behind her dear sisters, Beverly (Thomas) Tasker and Theresa Moore, and many nieces and nephews.

There will be no prior visitation. Arrangements have been entrusted to Hardison Funeral Homes, Inc. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, January 9, 2025 from Immaculate Conception RC Church, 4671 Town Line Road, Ransomville at 11 AM. Friends are asked to please assemble at the church. Interment will follow in Dickersonville Cemetery, Lewiston.
