Marilyn R. Furry, age 83 of Youngstown, died peacefully in her home on Wednesday, July 19, 2017. Marilyn was born December 7, 1933 in St. Catharines, Ontario, Canada, the daughter of the late Norman and Helen (Blair) Johnston. On June 11, 1955 she married Frank Furry and they moved from Canada in 1977 and resided in Youngstown since 1996. Frank predeceased her in 2010. . Marilyn was an active member of St. John's Episcopal Church in Youngstown. She enjoyed managing and following investments and finances as well as sailing with her late husband. She is survived by a daughter, Sandra (Geoff) Moon of Waterloo, Ontario. She was predeceased by a daughter, Anne Ross; her grandchildren, Thomas and Meredith Moon; a sister, Betty Monte; and two brothers, Norman and Ken Johnston. A Memorial Services will be held Saturday, July 22, at 3:00 PM in St. John's Episcopal Church, Main & Chestnut Sts., Youngstown, NY, with the Rev. Wayne Knockle officiating. There will be no prior visitation. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. John's Episcopal Church, 110 Chestnut St., Youngstown, NY 14174, the Mental Health Association of Niagara County, 36 Pine Street, Lockport, New York 14094, or to a Charity of one's choice. Arrangements have been entrusted to HARDISON FUNERAL HOME, N. Fourth & Ridge Streets, Lewiston.
