Luz M. Smith

Luz M. Smith, age 75, of Ransomville, died Saturday, August 27, 2022, at Mount St. Mary's Hospital in Lewiston. Luz was born November 13th, 1946, in San Juan, Puerto Rico, . She is the daughter of the late Fernado and the late Tomasita (Ramos) Morales, Sr. She happily married her beloved Donald R. Smith on October 2, 1971, he predeceased her on May 26, 2014. Luz was a chef at Niagara University for 20 years retiring in 2006 . Luz also served as a lifeguard and home health care aid in her lifetime. She liked to talk to her sister, sew, knit, paint, cook and spend time with her grandchildren.

She is survived by her children; Rebecca (David L. III) Jones and Tina Ripley; her siblings, Dorcas (Late Jose “Paco”) Flores, Ruben (Judith), Sam (Debbie) Morales; her sister in-laws, Karen, Char and Mickey Morales; grandmother to, Cierra, Isabella and Anthony Enzinna, Samantha, Zachary and Madison Davis and David IV and Levi Jones. As their aunt she showed a mother’s love to the Flores, the Yarish, the Hayes and Morales children and families. Luz is predeceased by her brothers, Eric, Fernando, Juan Morales, and nephew Joseph Morales

Calling hours will be held on Thursday, September 1st from 4-7 PM. at Hardison Funeral Home, 3648 Ransomville Road, Ransomville, NY.

The funeral will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, September 2nd at the Lewiston Assembly of God 4754 Creek Rd. Lewiston, NY 14092 with Rev. Geordie Davey officiating. Burial will be in North Ridge Cemetery, Town of Cambria
