Linda Messer Atwater

Linda M. Atwater passed away peacefully in her home in the Town of Lewiston on Monday, January 13, 2025 under the care of her nieces and Niagara Hospice. She was born on June 3, 1932 in Niagara Falls, NY the daughter of the late James A. and Minnie Bell (nee Ferguson) Messer.

Linda was a proud graduate of LaSalle High School in Niagara Falls and spent many years working as an Administrative Assistant with Bell Aerospace.

She is predeceased by her husband, Arthur Atwater, and dear siblings Eldon (late Eugenia) Messer, Geraldine Messer, Joseph (late Reseda) Messer, Jackie (late Jack) Reedy, and Thelma Messer.

Linda is survived by her loving nieces Ellen (Francis) Scott and Eileen (Thomas) Litz; dear brother Delmar (Nina) Messer; as well as cherished great aunt of Heathre (Andy) Cramer, Cory (Amy) Lemons, and Melody (James) Riggs. She is also survived by great-great and most recently, great-great-great nephew.

The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the aides for the wonderful care Linda received at her home.

The family will be present to receive friends on Saturday, January 18, 2025, from 10-11 AM at the HARDISON FUNERAL HOMES, INC., 401 Ridge Street, Lewiston, where Funeral Services will follow at 11 AM. Interment will follow in Niagara Falls Memorial Park, Lewiston.

If desired, memorials may be made in Linda’s memory to the Niagara Frontier Bible Church, 5287 Bronson Drive, Lewiston, NY 14092.
