Lee Wilson Grubbs

Lee Wilson Grubbs, a cherished resident of Lewiston, New York, passed away on Saturday, January 25, 2025, at Mercy Hospital Buffalo. He was born on April 21, 1954, in Bellevue, Pennsylvania, to the late Norman L. and Ethel Norma (née Ley) Grubbs. Lee dedicated 30 years of his life to serving as a US Airforce Police Officer before retiring in 2013.

 On June 18, 1988, Lee married the love of his life, Kathy A. Heinemann, in Olcott, NY. Lee found immense joy in spending time with his grandchildren, who brought an unparalleled brightness to his life. Among his many passions, Lee enjoyed solving all kinds of puzzles, including jigsaw puzzles, Sudoku, and crosswords. Lee’s passion was cooking, no one ever went hungry on the holidays celebrated at his home.

 In addition to his parents, Lee was predeceased by his sister, Janice Grubbs, and brother-in-law, Doug Moshier. He is survived by his beloved wife, Kathy; loving daughters, Penny Grubbs, June (Marcus Ford) Grubbs, and Sally (Jason) Jarmusz; caring siblings, James Grubbs, Robert (Joyce) Grubbs, Forest Grubbs, Kim Moshier, and Michael (Jessica) Grubbs. Lee's memory will also be cherished by his many nieces and nephews. Lee will be deeply missed by all who knew him. May his soul rest in peace.

 The family will be present to receive friends on Friday, January 31, 2025, from 1-4 PM at the Hardison Funeral Homes, Inc., located at 3648 Ransomville Road, Ransomville, where funeral services will follow at 4 PM. Friends are invited to attend. A private interment will take place in the Western New York National Cemetery in Corfu, NY.
