Laurance J. "Larry" Jackson, age 65, died unexpectedly at his home in Lockport on Thursday October 19, 2017. Larry was born January 2, 1952 in Niagara Falls, NY, the son of the late G. Thomas, and Virginia "Ginny" (Wainman) Jackson. He grew up in Youngstown and was a 1970 graduate of Lewiston-Porter High School. He received his Bachelor's Degree from Buffalo State Teachers College. A U.S. Army Veteran of Vietnam, Larry served from 1971 to 1975. He was a self employed carpenter for many years. Larry also was a drummer and member of Buffalo Musicians Local #92. On July 8, 2005 he married Lisa Nenni and moved to Lockport. In addition to his wife he is survived by his children, Rebecca, Joshua, and Sarah Jackson; his step children, Gina (Andrew) Rak, Michael Haefner, and Lindsay (Nicholas) Neadow; a sister, Susan (Winston) Collins and a brother, Bill Jackson. A Celebration of Larry's Life will be held Saturday, October 21, from Noon - 7 pm at his home, 314 East Avenue, Lockport. Arrangements have been entrusted to HARDISON FUNERAL HOME, 3648 Ransomville Road, Ransomville.
