Jonathan H. Bergeron (Jon), 42 of Newfane passed away suddenly on Thursday December 29, 2016, from a heart attack. Jon was born on October 23, 1974, at St. Mary’s Hospital in Lewiston, NY. He spent his childhood at his home in Stuyvesant, NY and spent his summers with his Grandmother and Father in Lewiston. He graduated from Ichabod Crane High School and attended Niagara University studying accounting. Jon was an avid outdoorsman, spending his free time enjoying nature. He loved hunting, fishing and bonfires; and was at his happiest when he was in the woods or out on the water. Jon was the kindest and most giving man anyone could know. He always had a huge smile on his face that brightened everyone around him and was the first to offer help to anyone in need. Much of Jon’s time was spent helping his family and friends. His greatest joy was his family, especially his daughter Alicia, who was his princess and truly the pride and joy of his world. Jon was so greatly loved by his family and friends all of who will miss him more than words can ever express. Jon is survived by his father Alfred R. Bergeron, Jr. of Niagara Falls NY, his mother and stepfather Michele Shaver Dorsey (Hon. John A. Dorsey) of Stuyvesant NY, his beloved daughter Alicia Bergeron of Newfane, his brother John A. Dorsey, Esq. of Rhode Island, his sister Christine Rogowski of Latham NY, the love of his life Rachel Batt of Newfane, his stepchildren Alanna Batt, Damian King, and Brianna King of Newfane, two nephews Andrew Bergeron and Logan Rogowski of Latham NY, his paternal grandmother Nadine Bergeron and many aunts, uncles and cousins. Jon is predeceased by his maternal grandparents Harold C. and Mary R. Shaver of Lewiston, and his paternal grandfather Alfred R. Bergeron, Sr. of Niagara Falls. Friends and relatives may call upon the family on Wednesday January 4, from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. at HARDISON FUNERAL HOME, N. Forth at Ridge Sts., Lewiston, NY 14092. Services will follow on January 5, at 10 a.m. at St. Peters RC Church, 620 Center St., Lewiston NY 14092. Burial will immediately follow the services at North Ridge Cemetery, Cambria NY.
