John Woock

John A. "Pete" Woock, age 63 of Youngstown, died Saturday January 13, 2018 in the Niagara Hospice House in Lockport, after a lengthy illness. Pete was born September 10, 1954 in Niagara Falls, NY, the son of the late Stanley and Geraldine (Meahl) Woock and was a 1972 graduate of LaSalle Senior High School. He was an Electrician and was employed by Roman Electric, Inc. in Youngstown for 35 years. Previous to that he had worked for Cooper Industries from 1972 to 1983. On June 10, 1978, Pete married Elaine (Lang) Woock and they moved to Youngstown. Elaine predeceased him in 2000. Pete will always be remembered as a wonderful family man. His family was his life. He also enjoyed baseball and bowling. He especially enjoyed his career as an electrician with Roman Electric. He is survived by his daughters, Jeanette (Jim) Stone and Amy Woock; his sons, Jason (Jessica) and Jim (Jodi) Woock; his grandchildren, John (Margaret) Choboy, U.S.A.F and Kyle Choboy, U.S.N., CJ Woock, Jayme Stone, and Sarah Woock; a brother, Gary (Beth) Woock and his twin sister, Mary Woock and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a brother, Robert Woock. Friends may call at HARDISON FUNERAL HOME, 3648 Ransomville Road, Ransomville on Thursday from 2 - 4 and 7 - 9 PM. Funeral Services will be held Friday, January 19, at 10:00 AM in the funeral home followed by interment in Riverdale Cemetery, Lewiston. in lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Ransomville Vol. Fire Co.
