Elizabeth "Betty" Clark, age 93 of Lewiston, died Tuesday November 28, 2017 in Mt. St. Mary's Hospital in Lewiston after a brief illness. Betty was born September 9, 1924 in Broomall, PA, the daughter of the late Jesse and Alice (Mullen) Wilds. On November 17, 1947 she married Earl Clark and they had resided in Lewiston since 1947. Earl was the first Fire Chief of the Upper Mt. Volunteer Fire Company. He predeceased her in 1978. Betty was employed as a sales clerk in the 1980's by the former Gold Circle Dept. Store in Niagara Falls, NY. She was an avid reader, enjoyed camping, and loved her pet cats. She is survived by two sons, Scott Clark of Lewiston and William "Bill" (Janice) Clark of South Bend, IN; her grandchildren, Sarah Clark and Jamison (Danyelle) Clark; and her great grandchildren, Holden, Callie, and Ethan. She was predeceased by a son, Gary Clark; a sister, Alice Mitchell , and three brothers, Frank, Jesse, and Charlie Wilds. Friends may call at HARDISON FUNERAL HOME, N. Fourth & Ridge Streets, Lewiston on Friday from 4 - 7 pm. Funeral services will be held Saturday, December 2, at 10:00 am in the funeral home, with the Rev. Patrick Bradley officiating. Burial will follow in Acacia Park Cemetery, Pendleton. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Niagara County SPCA, 2100 Lockport Rd., Niagara Falls, NY 14304 or to the Salvation Army, P.O. Box 56 708 Buffalo Ave., Niagara Falls, NY 14303.
