David A. George, age 74, of Youngstown, died suddenly on Thursday, January 7, 2021 at home. David was born December 11, 1946 in Niagara Falls, NY. He was the son of the late David and the late Catherine (McKellar) George. He was a graduate of LaSalle Senior High, going on to receive a B.S. from Niagara University. David served in the United States Army infantry during the Vietnam War from September 1966 to September 1968, and was part of the Tet Offensive. Upon returning home, he worked at Washington Mills for 48 years as a Master Lab Technician working with naval nuclear materials. He retired in 2017. David was passionate about fitness. He ran marathons, worked out at the gym daily, and enjoyed socializing and sharing his passion for physical fitness with friends and family. Surviving are his sister Donna (John) Glahe; nephews Andrew (Kathy Komberg), David (Colleen), and John P. (Karen Feger) Glahe. He was the beloved great uncle to Eric, Elise, Benjamin, and Gabriel. A graveside service with military honors will be held privately with his family at Riverdale Cemetery Lewiston, NY.
