Aaron Goodman

It is with great sadness that the family of Aaron David Goodman of Amherst and Wilson announces his passing on Saturday, August 25, 2018 after a year long illness. He was born on January 28, 1972 in Lewiston, New York the son of Wallace and Christine Goodman of Wilson. He was a graduate of Wilson Central School and Mansfield University with a degree in Public Relations. In addition to his parents, he is survived by his two brothers Matthew (Sandey) of Tampa and Timothy (Sarah) of Jacksonville. He was "Uncle Waffle" to his five nieces Grace and Sophia of Jacksonville and Lilly, Julia and Emma of Tampa who were so loved by him. He is also survived by his aunt Kathleen Cancemi (Vincent) and cousin Anthony Cancemi of Niagara Falls and his uncle Dan Riley of Los Angeles. Aaron is also survived by his many dear friends on both the East and West Coast. He is predeceased by his grandparents, Edward and Gladys Struzik, Walter and Marietta Goodman and his uncle Edward Struzik. Aaron lived in Los Angeles for 20 years prior to moving back to Wilson and Amherst. He worked at Virgin Records, MSC Music America and Beyond Music in public relations as a publicist meeting many people in the entertainment field. Aaron shared his love of music with so many of his friends making CD's of things he thought they should listen to. He also worked for the Autism Society of Los Angeles and was later employed at BCS Management as a meeting and event planner. Upon returning to Western New York, he was employed at Beechwood Continuing Care bringing his cheerful personality to the many residents there. He often said that it was the most rewarding job that he ever had. There will be no prior visitation. A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, September 29, at 11:00 am in Christ Episcopal Church, 7145 Fieldcrest Drive, Lockport, NY . Because Aaron loved music so much and was a former church organist, memorials may be made to the Christ Episcopal Church Organ Fund, 7145 Fieldcrest Drive, Lockport, NY 14094. Arrangements have been entrusted to HARDISON FUNERAL HOME, 3648 Ransomville Rd., Ransomville, NY.
