Wilhelmina Fideli

March 22, 1944 — January 28, 2015

Wilhelmina Gina Fideli (Orsi), better known as "Willie or "Grandma Willie" by friends and family, 70, of Youngstown, NY passed away on January 28, 2015 at her home after a lengthy illness. Born March 22, 1944 in Lewiston, NY, she was the daughter of Paul Orsi, Sr. and Grace Orsi (Wager). She graduated from Lewiston-Porter High School in 1962, and went on to work at Hansen's Fish Market, Carborundum, Harrison Radiator, and the U.S. Postal Service. She lived in Deland, Florida for many years of her life, before permanently moving back to New York in 2005. Willie enjoyed going on various road trip adventures with her sister. She liked watching musicals, singing along, and just being silly. She always looked forward to the "heated" Trivial Pursuit games at family gatherings, which were always memorable. Another favorite pastime was relaxing and watching "her soaps". But above all, Willie dedicated her life to her grandchildren, and truly treasured the time spent with them. Wilhelmina was predeceased by her husband of 37 years, Ronald G. Fideli, who passed away in 1999. She is survived by two sons, Derek (Dana) Fideli and David (April) Fideli, both of Youngstown, NY. Willie is also survived by her two brothers, Paul (Nancy) Orsi and Philip (Joan) Orsi, both of Youngstown, NY; her sister Victoria Orsi of Ransomville, NY, and was predeceased by a sister Eugenia (Rick) Gibson of Lewiston, NY. In-laws include Deborah (Solomon) Langley of San Jose, CA, Frank (Elizabeth) Metro of Lewiston, NY, and Judith Brochey of Lewiston, NY. She is also survived by 7 grandchildren Alex, Matthew, Justin, Gracie, Savannah, Ethan, and Maggie, as well as several nieces and nephews. To respect Wilhelmina's wishes, there will be no visitation or services held. A Celebration of Life will be held at a date to be determined. Willie's wishes were to be cremated and to be placed with her husband at Arlington National Cemetery. Memorial donations can be made on her behalf to the Youngstown Volunteer Fire Company, PO Box 387, Youngstown, NY 14174. Arrangements have been entrusted to HARDISON FUNERAL HOME, 3648 Ransomville Rd. Ransomville, NY.
