Stanley J. Slominski

Stanley J. Slominski, age 78, of Niagara Falls died Thursday, November 23rd, 2023, at Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center in Niagara Falls, NY. Stanley was born on April 4th, 1945, in Niagara Falls, NY. He is the son of the late Leonard and the late Josephine (Gileta) Slominski. He graduated from NFHS going on to serve in the United State Army as a combat medic with the 2nd squadron 1st cavalry in Vietnam from 1967 to 1969, he was awarded a purple heart, a bronze star with valor, good conduct medal and the Vietnam service medal. Stanley attended Alfred State College obtaining a degree in Horticulture and also graduated from Buffalo General Hospital School of Nursing becoming an RN.

Stanley worked for and retired from NFMMC where he was an RN from 1973 till 2010. He was an avid volunteer at the Holy Trinity Complex, enjoyed gardening and collecting antiques and pottery.

Surviving is his brother; Andrew Slominski; his sister, Mary Ann (Late Clayton) Zimmerman; two nephews and a niece, Earl Zortman, Linda Marie Praydich and John A. Praydich Jr., also several great nieces and nephews.

He is predeceased by a sister Louise Slominski.

Calling hours will be held on Thursday, November 30th from 4-7 PM. at Hardison Funeral Homes Inc., 401 Ridge St. (N. Fourth & Ridge Streets), Lewiston, NY.

Private graveside services with military honors will be held in Holy Trinity Cemetery.
