Ruth K. Schoonmaker

Ruth K. Schoonmaker entered into eternal rest on Thursday, September 26, 2024, under the compassionate care of Niagara Hospice. She was 83. Ruth was born on March 6, 1941 in Niagara Falls, NY, the daughter of the late George and Edith Wienrebur.

Ruth graduated from Lewiston Porter High School class of 1959. She worked for over 20 years in the Tops Friendly Markets Bakery in Lewiston, NY. Following retirement, she enjoyed reading, gardening, camping and spending time with her loving family. She will be missed by all who knew her.

Besides her parents, Ruth is predeceased by her long time companion, Donald Boynton and her dear sister Kathy Wienrebur.

Ruth is survived by her loving children, Mark J. (Sonda) Schoonmaker, Susan E. (William) Bigham and Michael G. (Robbin) Schoonmaker; three cherished grandchildren, Johnny, Connor (McKenna) and J.J. and one adored great-grandson, Silvio; dear siblings, Teresa (Thomas) Waterson and Joan Wienrebur; also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Arrangements entrusted to the HARDISON FUNERAL HOMES, INC. Services will be held privately and at the convenience of the family.
