Mimi Pyne

Mary Lou "Mimi" Pyne, age 73 of Lewiston, died Tuesday August 31, 2010 at her residence under the loving care of her husband and Niagara Hospice. Mimi was born March 25, 1937 in Buffalo, the daughter of the late John F. and Mary (Collier) Kendall and has resided in Lewiston since 1963. She graduated from Holy Angels Academy in Buffalo, and in 1958 from Rosary Hill College with a B.S. in Registered Record Administration. Mimi worked at Kenmore Mercy Hospital for several years and then was employed as a Medical Secretary at Mt. St. Mary's Hospital in Lewiston for 11 years, retiring in 1976. She owned and operated "Mimi Pyne Antiques" in Lewiston for 27 years. Her customers soon became her friends. Mimi married James E. Pyne on August 14, 1971 and they were members of The Lutheran Church of The Messiah in Lewiston. She is survived by her husband, James; two daughters, Mary Jo (Steven) Riddle of Apollo, PA and Ann Marie Collins of Harrogate, England; her grandchildren, Stephanie Jo and Matthew Elton Riddle; and a brother, Peter M. (Sylvia) Kendall of Sun City, AZ. A Memorial Service will be held Thursday, September 9, at 2:00 PM in the Lutheran Church of The Messiah, 915 Oneida St., Lewiston, with the Rev. Thomas Mason officiating. There will be no prior visitation. Burial will be private in the Dickersonville Cemetery, Lewiston.
