Lois A. Bonnette entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, October 23, 2024, in her home in the Village of Youngstown, at the age of 85. Born on April 8, 1939, in Plymouth, Michigan, she was the daughter of Don DeWitt and Anna (nee Schatz) Packard.
Lois married Dennis Bonnette on September 8, 1962, at Our Lady of Good Counsel Church in Plymouth, Michigan. Growing up on the family farm in Michigan, she enjoyed riding horses and had a love for playing the accordion, especially her favorite, "Lady of Spain." Lois welcomed visitors, expected or unexpected, with open arms.
Predeceased by her parents and her brothers Robert (late Carol) and Dennis Packard and a brother-in-law Richard Mollenkopf. Lois is survived by her beloved husband of 62 years, Dennis; her loving children, Timothy (Margaret), Christina, Denise, Nicholas, Paul (Amanda), Gregory (Brianna) Bonnette, and Elizabeth (Markus) Buehlmann; 25 cherished grandchildren and six adored great-grandchildren; caring sister Barbara Mollenkopf and her dear sister-in-law, Linda Packard.
The family will be present to receive friends on Tuesday, October 29, 2024, from 4-8 PM at Hardison Funeral Homes, Inc., 401 Ridge Street (N. Fourth & Ridge Streets). A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, October 30, 2024, at St. Bernard Church, 218 Hinman Street, Youngstown, at 11 AM. Please assemble at the church. Interment will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Lois' memory to Summit Life Outreach Center, PO Box 2201, Niagara Falls, NY 14301.
