Eric M. “Rick” Rohring, age 70, of Ransomville passed away on Wednesday, June 15, 2022, at home under the care of Niagara Hospice. Rick was born on November 8, 1951, in Niagara Falls, NY. He is the son of the late Walter G. and the late Lorraine (Shortz) Rohring Jr. He graduated from Lew-Port CSD class of 1969. In December of 1969 he completed a vocational trade program as a service station auto mechanic. He married Charlene Shook on December 4, 1971.
In 1982 Rick joined the Ironworkers apprenticeship program with the Ironworkers Union LOCAL # 9 of Niagara Falls, NY accomplishing 40 years of service. Rick owned and operated a 50-acre farm in Ransomville raising beef cattle and vegetable crops for 35 plus years with his wife.
Surviving is his wife of 50 years, Charlene; his sisters, Carolyn Rohring, Bonnie Rohring and Karen Kobel; Nephews; Chris Burek, Eric Freberg, Jason Freberg, Shawn Tussing; Niece, Jennifer (Tim) Bagovich; Great Nephews, Andrew and Matthew Bagovich; a brother-in-law, William P. Shook and sister-in-law, Nancy Shook, also many other relatives and numerous friends.

A celebration of life will be held in the near future for immediate friends and family. Memorial donations may be made to Niagara Hospice.
