David W. Kennedy, age 67 of Ransomville died Saturday January 7, 2017 at his home under the loving care of his family and Niagara Hospice, after a lengthy illness. He was born March 7, 1949 in Houtzdale, PA, the son of the late William and Margaret (Kephart) Kennedy. David married Janet (Mort) Kennedy on July 31, 1982 and they have resided in Ransomville since 1990. David was a Cab Driver, employed by LaSalle Cab Co. for over 24 years. He was an avid hunter and fisherman, and loved camping and spending time with his grandchildren. He is survived by wife, Janet; his children, David W. (Charlotte) Kennedy, II of Hiddenit, NC, James (Michele) Kennedy of Lockport, Jeremiah Kennedy (Ashley) of Salisbury, NC, and Nathaniel (Jennifer) Kennedy of North Tonawanda; a brother, Robert Kennedy; three sisters, Dolores Kennedy, Margaret (Sonny) Wienberger, and Valarie (Patrick) Sevetsky; a sister in law, Marcia (late George) Kennedy; 19 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by 6 other brothers and sisters. A Celebration of Life will be held Tuesday, January 10, from 4 - 7 pm at Payne's Restaurant, 984 Payne Ave., North Tonawanda. There will be no prior visitation. In lieu of flowers, Memorials may be made to Niagara Hospice, 4675 Sunset Dr., Lockport, NY 14094. Arrangements have been entrusted to HARDISON FUNERAL HOME, 3648 Ransomville Rd. Ransomville.
