Anna Hartman, age 83 of Youngstown, died Monday December 26, 2016 in Niagara Hospice House in Lockport, after a lengthy illness. Anna was born June 22, 1933 in Niagara Falls, NY, the daughter of the late Alexander and Marion (Mule`) Proietti. She married William Hartman on June 27, 1959 and they had resided in Youngstown for 50 years. William predeceased her in 2014. Anna was employed as a Checking Clerk in Clet Hall at Niagara University for 20 years retiring in 2013. Previous to that she had worked at Coulson's Drug Store in Lewiston and at Jenss Department Store's Big and Tall Men's Dept. at both their Main St. and Summit Mall locations. She was a communicant of St. Peter RC Church in Lewiston and a member of the Lewiston # 1 Ladies Auxiliary for many years. Anna had volunteered for many local organizations and loved working the Peach Festival Tent, at ArtPark, and the Riviera Theater. Prior to her husband's death, Anna cared for him for many years. She enjoyed spending time at the Casino, was very proud of her doll collection, but most of all loved being with her family and friends. She is survived by two daughters, Mariann (Thomas) Coleman of Ransomville and Cynthia (Robert) Bussingham of Lewiston; her grandchildren, Tanya (Steve) Bills, Rachel (Dave) Sheehan, William (Jill) Coleman, Robert and Eric Bussingham; her great grandchildren, Brayden, Avery, Connor, Layla, and Fulton; two sisters, Emily (late LeRoy) Walker and Rosalie Proietti both of Lewiston; a sister in law, Mary Proietti of Lewiston, and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was predeceased by two brothers, John and Andrew (late Janet) Proietti. Friends may call at HARDISON FUNERAL HOME, N. Fourth & Ridge Streets, Lewiston on Thursday from 3 - 8 pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, December 30, at 10:00 am in St. Peter RC Church, 600 Center St., Lewiston. (Please assemble at Church). Burial will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Lewiston. In lieu of flowers, Memorials may be made to the Lewiston Volunteer Fire Co. #1 Ambulance Fund, 145 N. 6th St. P.O. Box 748, Lewiston, NY 14092 or to Niagara Hospice, 4675 Sunset Dr., Lockport, NY 14094.
