Obituary of Ruth S. Edwards

Ruth S. Edwards, of Ransomville, passed away on Sunday November 13, 2016 at the age of 91, in Our Lady of Peace Nursing Care Residence in Lewiston. She was born January 5, 1925 in Ransomville, the daughter of the late Herman and Ada (Miller) Schulze. Ruth kept very busy with the family farm in Ransomville before retirement. After graduating from Brockport State Teachers College, she taught school for two years before starting her family. She was a former 4-H leader and very active with the Women's Fellowship of Ransomville Baptist Church, and a long time member of Ransomville Rural Retirees and Retired Teachers Association. Ruth enjoyed playing cards, gardening, and she had a genuine love for her cats. Ruth was predeceased by her husband of 52 years, William Fuller Edwards, and is survived by her five children: Robert (Judith) Edwards, Richard (Barbara) Edwards, Janet (Joseph) Pardee, Wendy (George) Reichert, and Shari (Neil) Alderman; 10 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by a sister, Marjorie Schulze. Friends may call at HARDISON FUNERAL HOME, 3648 Ransomville Rd., Ransomville on Friday from 4 - 7 pm. Funeral Services will be held Saturday, November 19, at 11:00 AM in the funeral home. Burial will follow in North Ridge Cemetery, Church Rd. Town of Cambria.
