Obituary of Christine P. Barbiero

Christine P. Barbiero, age 82 of Youngstown, died Tuesday November 24, 2015 at her residence under the loving care of her family and Niagara Hospice. Christine was born March 20, 1933 in Buffalo, the daughter of the late Roman and Madeline (Dolata) Janicka and was a graduate of East High School. She was a Secretary in the Purchasing Department of Sisters Hospital in Buffalo for 20 years, retiring in 1995. Previous to that she was employed as a secretary in the Sales Office at Linkbelt in Buffalo for 25 years. Christine was a communicant of St. Bernard's RC Church in Youngstown. She enjoyed shadowboxes, crafts, ceramics, painting and bird watching. She loved her family and her aides, Shanna, Traci, Kim, Sam, Molly, Mindy, and Vanessa. She married her sweetie, Edward Barbiero on October 9, 1999. Edward predeceased her in May of this year. She is survived by her step children, Edward (Elaine) Barbiero of Youngstown, Robert (Sherri) Barbiero of Lewiston, and Ellen (Edwin) Sanchez of Walden, NY; her step grandchildren, Danielle Turk, Lauren Jordan, Amanda, Brianna, and Alissa Barbiero, Russell, Jeffrey, and Eric Barker; twin step grandsons;three cousins; a brother in law, George Barbiero and two sisters in law, Jeannie Inperatto and Eleanor Seminara. Friends may call at HARDISON FUNERAL HOME, N. Fourth & Ridge Streets, Lewiston on Sunday from 3 - 7 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, November 30, at 10:00 AM in St. Bernard's RC Church, Second and Hinman Sts., Youngstown, with the Rev. Msgr. Thomas Moran officiating. (Please assemble at Church) Burial will follow in Oakland Rural Cemetery, Youngstown.
