Obituary of Virginia M. Jackson

Virginia M. Jackson, age 91 of Youngstown, died Saturday January 2, 2010, in the Niagara Rehabilitation and Health Center in Niagara Falls, after a long illness. Virginia was born April 4, 1918 in Buffalo, the daughter of the late Chester and Nellie Fox. She married Clarence R. Jackson on June 25, 1953. Virginia was a Receptionist, employed by Dr. Robert Shapiro's Medical Office in Niagara Falls for 15 years. Previous to that she worked at National Analine in Niagara Falls. Mrs. Jackson was a communicant of St. Bernard's RC Church in Youngstown and a Life Member and Past President of the Lake Ontario V.F.W. Post # 313 Ladies Auxiliary in Youngstown. She is survived by her husband, Clarence R. Jackson of Youngstown; two daughters, Janice Marshall and Jean Harm; and a nephew, Larry Jackson of Lockport. She was predeceased by a brother, Howard Fox. Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, January 6, at 10:30 AM in the Chapel at Niagara Falls Memorial Park Cemetery, Military Rd., Lewiston, with the Rev. Msgr. Thomas Moran officiating. There will be no prior visitation. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Youngstown Volunteer Fire Co., Ambulance Fund, PO Box 387, Youngstown, NY 14174. Arrangements have been entrusted to HARDISON FUNERAL HOME, N. Fourth & Ridge Streets, Lewiston.
