Obituary of Charlotte C. Hartmann

Charlotte C. Hartmann, age 96 of The Circle, Lewiston, died Monday November 9, 2009 in Our Lady of Peace Nursing Care Residence in Lewiston. Charlotte was born April 8, 1913 in Wilmore, PA, the daughter of the late Lawrence Motchenbaugh and the late Susan (Noon) Motchenbaugh Hastee. She was a 1932 graduate of Niagara Falls High School and on October 11, 1941 she married LeRoy H. Hartmann. They moved from Niagara Falls to The Circle in Lewiston in 1955. LeRoy predeceased her on March 4, 2002. Charlotte worked at Kimberly Clark in Niagara Falls for 40 years, retiring as an Inspector/Supervisor in 1972. She had a great wit and a love for animals and children. Charlotte enjoyed gardening, sewing, as well as roller skating which she did well up into her 80's. She will be sadly missed by her dear friends, Frank and Maria Miklitsch and Yvonne Maracle. Charlotte is survived by a sister in law, Mildred Motchenbaugh of Niagara Falls, NY. Also survived by a niece and a nephew. She was predeceased by a brother, Robert Motchenbaugh and a sister, Mary Price. Friends are invited to attend graveside services on Friday, November 13, at 10:00 am at Niagara Falls Memorial Park Cemetery, Lewiston. There will be no prior visitation. Memorials may be made the Niagara County SPCA, 2100 Lockport Rd., Niagara Falls, NY 14304. Arrangements have been entrusted to HARDISON FUNERAL HOME, N. Fourth & Ridge Sts., Lewiston.
