Obituary of Gloria M. Snyder

__________________________________________________________________________ Town of Cambria, Gloria M. Snyder, age 83 of the Town of Cambria, died Saturday September 19, 2009 in the Eastern Niagara Hospital in Lockport, after a brief illness. Gloria was born May 30, 1926 in Wilson, NY, the daughter of the late Edward C. and Gertrude H. (Drewes) Schuman and was a 1944 graduate of Wilson High School. On August 18, 1951 she married Harold O. Snyder who predeceased her in 1978. In the 1950's Gloria was employed for a number of years as a Bank Teller for the Lockport Savings Bank in Lockport. She attended Warren Corners United Methodist Church and was a former organist at the North Ridge United Methodist Church. Gloria enjoyed processing and selling her dried flowers as well as playing cards with her friends. She is survived by her sons, David (Kathleen) Snyder of Niskayuna, NY and Stephen (Arden) Snyder of Trumansburg, NY; her grandchildren, Michael and Alison Snyder; and her brother, Robert C. (June) Schuman of the town Of Cambria. Friends may call at HARDISON FUNERAL HOME, 3648 Ransomville Rd., Ransomville on Wednesday from 7 - 9 PM. Funeral Services will be held Thursday, September 24, at 11:00 AM in the funeral home, with the Rev. Carl Chamberlain officiating. Burial will follow in North Ridge Cemetery, Church Rd., Town of Cambria.
