Geraldine G. Mitchell, "Ma Mitch", age 84 of Youngstown, died Saturday March 31, 2018 in Mt. St. Mary's Hospital in Lewiston, after a lengthy illness.

Geraldine was born May 15, 1933 in Buffalo, the daughter of the late John and Rosetta (Schenauer) Madura. She lived most of her life in Tonawanda where she owned and operated Mitch's Del-Taco from 1979 to 1993. Geraldine had lived in East Otto for ten years before moving to Youngstown to be with her son. Throughout her time running businesses with her sons, Geraldine loved interacting and listening to her patrons. She touched many lives through her caring ways.

She is survived by her sons, Roy, Daryl, and Tim Mitchell; her daughter, Pam (Michael) Rex; her grandchildren, Kenny J. (Charlotte) Mitchell and Katelyn Mitchell (Bryan Gravell); and her great grandchildren, Maxine and Jacoby.

Friends may call at HARDISON FUNERAL HOME, 3648 Ransomville Road, Ransomville, on Sunday, April 15, from 1 - 5 pm. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Ransomville Vol. Fire Co. Ambulance Fund, PO Box 239, Ransomville, NY 14131, or to the East Otto Fire Company, 8990 Read Hill Rd., East Otto, NY 14729. The Mitchell family will be hosting a reception at the Ransomville Fire Hall following the service at the funeral home.
