Obituary of Della Joanne Kirkpatrick

Della Joanne Kirkpatrick, age 83 of Niagara Falls NY, died Sunday August 13, 2017 at her residence while under the loving care of her family and Niagara Hospice.

Joanne was born February 13, 1934 in Patton, PA, the daughter of the late John and Esther (Ludington) Reid. She graduated from Patton High School and moved to Niagara Falls in 1955. Later in life Joanne worked for 20 years as a part time lunch aide for the Niagara Falls School System. She enjoyed spending time at their family camp in Franklinville, NY. She also enjoyed spending time with her family and friends who all knew that her door was always open if they needed someone to talk to.

She is survived by her husband, Robert Kirkpatrick; her children, Lori Watson, Kathy (David) Caldwell, Terri (Wayne) Morgan, and Donald Kirkpatrick; her grandchildren, Bobbi Jo, Shawn (Annie), Vincent, Jenna, Jacob, Robert, Shana. Mandi (Jordan), Brianna, Angela, Brook, and Bud; two great grandchildren, Shawn, Jr. and Lilliana; a sister, Sandra (Julius) Morgan; her lifelong friends, Shirley Fiori and Dixie Jones; several nieces and nephews and her pet dog, Abbey. She was predeceased by a brother, John Reid, Jr. and a grandson, Mark Kirkpatrick.

Friends may call at HARDISON FUNERAL HOME, 3648 Ransomville Road, Ransomville on Wednesday, August 16, from 12 - 1 pm. Funeral Services will begin at 1:00 PM in the funeral home followed by the burial in North Ridge Cemetery, Town of Cambria. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Niagara Hospice, 4675 Sunset Dr., Lockport, NY 14094 or to the Niagara County SPCA, 2100 Lockport Rd., Niagara Falls, NY 14304.
