Obituary of Muriel A. Goodman

Muriel A. Goodman, 90 of Lewiston, NY died peacefully on Saturday April 29, 2017 in Niagara Hospice House Lockport.

Mrs. Goodman was born on April 26, 1927 in Niagara Falls, NY to the late John and Helen O’Polka. After graduating from Niagara Falls High School in 1945 she began a long and successful career at the Carborundum Co. Niagara Falls retiring as a senior executive secretary in 1988. Muriel loved animals particularly cats and dogs and was a voracious reader and enjoyed traveling. She was a member of the Carborundum Retiree’s; The Friends Of The Lewiston Library and the Niagara Frontier Golf Club. Mrs. Goodman is predeceased by her loving husband Lyle S. Goodman, to whom she was married for 54 years. She is also predeceased by her 3 siblings; Ronald O’Polka; Lillian Terryberry and Celia Kokovitch. She is survived by her sister in law and several nieces and nephews.

A Graveside service will be held at North Ridge Cemetery, Church Road; Town of Cambria on Saturday May 6, 2017 at 11:00AM.  NO PRIOR VISITATION. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Niagara Co. SPCA or to Niagara Hospice.
